Restaurant Sikkim began with a simple wish: to carry the food we grew up on out of the mountains, across the world, and set it down on a table in Luxembourg. This is how a taste of Sikkim found a home here.

Our kitchen started far away, in the hills of Sikkim, where mornings smelled of ginger, timur pepper and cardamom, and where cooking was never just cooking. It was how we welcomed people, how we said we love you without ever using the words.

When life took us far from those hills, we brought the recipes with us, folded into memory the way we fold our momos by hand each morning. Some things you cannot leave behind. The warmth of a shared meal is one of them.

In Hamm, we built a little corner of Sikkim. A place where broths simmer slow, grills smoke over spice, and anyone who walks through the door is family for the evening. Far from the mountains, and yet somehow home.

Every day we cook with fresh ingredients from the local markets, the same honest way our families always did. No shortcuts and no pretending. Just real food, made with care and served with a full heart.
That is our promise, and our name for it. Come and taste the mountains with us.
